I feel like i'm getting closer to my decision about which guitar to get.
I've looked into the S470 a bit now and so far i like it. Got a couple of questions though:

-Does it sound good playing metallica, or shredding like Paul Gilbert?
-What's the differense between the S470 and S320 except the price and color?
-Is the ZR tremolo system worth the 100-150$ extra, compared to a Edge 3 on a RG?
-What do you guys think of the guitar in general?

It'll do whatever you want once you swap out those daft INF pickups.

The S470 is HSH while the S320 is HH.

The ZR is worth the extra expense.

I think it's ruddy awful. There's nothing there but a neck. Of course though, I'm an RG guy. So I obviously prefer a more substantial guitar.

The S470 was designed for metal and shredding. I've had one for a couple of years and it is a first-rate guitar. I think you will enjoy it very much. The ZR unit is better than an Edge III, in my opinion. It is not as much of a headache to tune the guitar with a ZR. I don't use the tremolo very much, so others who do might like the Edge III. Still, you can't go wrong with an S470.

And what will it do with the default picksups?

pickups are only like 30% of your tone.
most of your tone comes from your amp.
you can mostly expect more clarity from swapping pickups.

honestly I don't like the wizard II necks.
I only like the prestige series necks from ibanez.
That's just me, try 'em out though

Well, there's always the songs that the ice cream truck plays.
