ditto on the fg730 and entourage s6. also if you need to go cheaper, try the yamaha fg720s and the yamaha fg700s. the 730 would be my first pick, 720 next but while the other two sound a bit better, the 700 is still nice, with an all solid top and the same quality finish and construction.

Add between $100-150 in price to the above recommendations, and you'll find their acoustic electric equivalent. Anything cheaper will likely be a piece of crap, because you'll have overpaid for the crappy electronics, and not gotten as much real guitar.

Gear:
Partscaster/Tele into a bunch of pedals, a Maz 18 head, and a Z Best cab.

hmm okay. Im not a serious acoustic person, just wanted something more portable. Ill stay away from acoustic electric then. that first yamaha looks pretty sweet.
