Well Today I paid off my Fender Twin Reverb 65' Reissue.
I love this amp SO MUCH!
The clean tone is so amazing!
It definitely lives up to what ive heard.

Pics:

Now that I have this I need to get a distortion pedal for under 100$
Ive been looking around and found the Metal Muff w/top boost.
I play grunge, Punk, some metal, Alternative, and everything in-between.
Yea yea I know wrong amp for style. To late. =p
So what do you think? Can I get close with this pedal?
Someone recommended the digitech hardwire TL-2.
Hate it. Dont want it.

HNAD! I like how you're UG's metal head yet you now have a Fender amp. Congrats, I have the Hot Rod Deluxe and I love it! I'm not sure how much it costs in the US, maybe a bit out of your price range, but the Blackstar HT DistX is really nice and tis what I use

OK. I won't say anything.

oh um, maybe check out the MI Audio Crunch Box or a Jyckyl and Hyde

Definitely not what I would've chosen for those genres... but if you're happy that's all that matters!

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I wouldn't get the Metal Muff, I used to own one, and it was pretty good for some metal tones, but otherwise it really wasn't very versatile.

Maybe the new Fullbore Metal by MXR? Haven't heard anything about it though.

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

The fullbore metal is a nice dist pedal. Tried it, liked it etc.
The Jekyl and Hyde just price dropped at SamAsh, it's a good one as well.

Happy new wrong amp day!

JK - the twins are fuking awesome.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Nice!

Personally, if you're going to be using a pedal for your main distortion, I think you should try to increase your budget if you can.
I have a huge fear if rays.
#8
Lol.
Well I also thought about changing my playing style a little bit.
I really like funk and I can play a little chili peppers.

One of the main reasons I wanted this is since brand new this amp costs 1500$ and I got it for a third of that and it only has 4 hours of use on it, I could always turn around and sell it for 1100$. =]

hmm i'd say sell it and use the money to upgrade to something more fitting your style
HNAD and that seems to be a very good deal

Or even a Dual Resistafier if you want Mesa Rectifier tones. Also check out the Radial Tonebone Hot British if you're looking for nice british distortion. Also check out the Barber Dirty Bomb .

HT-DistX would be nice too. I don't see why you dislike the TL-2...I thought it was really nice

Agreed, I chose the Wampler because i think it covers all of those styles well, except punk, i doubt it would do that well.

Idk maybe its just the videos I watched... But to me it sounded really nasaly...
Am I wrong?
I just dont like nasaly distortion...
If I wanted that then id get a MT2 but im steering clear of that pedal for this amp =p
