clear finish on mahogany wood (shot in the dark, but that's probably what it is if it's a les paul)

currently out of prodution by Gibson.

That, good sir, would be mahogany.



Mahogany is by far my favorite wood. It is gorgeous, with a thick, rich, even tone. Keep in mind that mahogany can be significantly lighter in coloration than in that picture - I just think it's more attractive when it's nice and dark like that.

do u guys think i can obtain that look by just putting a little gloss on a mohogany body with out a laminated top ( btw i am recreating tht guitar which is why i am asking)
