I'm not into "fingerpicking" but i would love to find and learn some more easy Picking Patterns like this

It's really not hard, just find out what chord you want and pick the strings separately, make some interesting picking shapes.
For example:

e|-----x---x---x----
B|----x---x---x-x---
G|---x---x---x---x--
D|------------------
A|------------------
E|------------------


Then add a chord progression. Voilà, you're set.

thanks .. but... is there any theory behind picking? i mainly use more barre chords than open chords .. so .. if i play random strings is that right? (obviously i will hit first the root note of the chord)
