Okay, I am pretty good at playing guitar, but I don't know what sweep tapping is or how to play it. Can somebody please explain this? I have looked it up, but I can't find anything.
Call me Andrew. It's my name.

Try this basic exercise. It's the one I used to learn it. Based on Herman Li's solo from Valley of the Damned, a song already recommended above. Hopefully the tab didn't get formatted badly, that happens to me sometimes.

You can tap any note you want.

I know

but if in not mistaken, it has to be in the scale/key

and i thought that suggesting tapping the tonic would be the best way to learn.
