Hello, I'new to the forums.

Anyway, I had a question about Heavy String Gauges.
I have a Ibanez GSA60 Black knight model guitar. It came with .09 strings. I later put
.10-46 strings on. They seem to work fine, but I was wondering if I could get
Strings
Will I need to modify my guitar in anyway, because I'm interested in detuning ALOT. lol

Changing string gauges will mean that you will probably need to adjust your intonation. Otherwise, you should be fine.

If you are getting heavy strings to detune a whole lot you might want to consider getting something like Medium Tops Heavy Bottoms so your strings will feel less floppy in low tunings.

Anyway, TS, I use 11-49 on my Les Paul; I used to use those strings. Feel free to use them, but the truss rod may need adjusting (DO NOT DO THIS YOURSELF).

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Well, I'm new at guitar when it comes to adjusting my "intonation" I mean, I know how to tune strings with the headstock tuners but, I'm not sure about other things.

Yeah the truss rod is something I read about, I'm not sure about adjusting it i might go to a place where they can do it. Thanks for the help guys. !!
