Just, no. Locrian should be treated like that gay cousin. Just avoid him cuz he's weird, unstable, and is attracted to the wrong thing.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Do we have any more POPULAR stuff? eg. tv, movies, books, music? (particular emphasis on music)

Pretty much anything American. Many shows are copies of American programs, American music is popular here too, and the main trends based in America tend to hit hard here as well. Think Harry Potter and Twilight.

I guess Australia's two most popular commercial bands of this decade were Wolfmother and Jet, so you could talk about vintage rock n roll being popular again. I don't think we did a lot musically this decade apart from a never ending stream of Idol winners. You could talk about the underground scene and bands like Parkway Drive etc.

2000 - 2009 IS a decade. Counting from 0 - 9 still works. Normally it would be from 1 - 10.

On topic:

Pink sold some 300K tickets in Australia or something. Broke gig records.

John Butler Trio are pretty big world wide aren't they?
Luke Steele (Sleepy Jackson, Empire of The Sun frontman) is also pretty highly acclaimed by all sorts of people and has brought a new sound to the commercial radio. He features on the opening track on Jay Z's new album and was voted best man in music from some international magazine.

Main problem is the huge influx of white trash.... everywhere

Yeah, man. Saturday or sunday's paper.

Police can on the spot strip search you if you are in a designated 'danger area'

Big Brother much? I already feel very violated.

Imagine all the racist/sexist police we have going around strip searching who ever they want?
