Hi, i just got my first head last week and i'm loving it but i've got a question about the effects loop. is it best to put effects like reverb and wah into the effects loop or can i just plug them through the front like normal?? btw i've got a 3 channel mesa dual recto. thanks

you want drive pedals like distortion and OD out front...and modulation pedals in your loop.

Timed effects such as chorus, delay thru the loop. wah, overdrive and such in series with guitar, ie guitar, wah overdrive, into amp. This is my preference but is definitely not a LAW. Monkey around to find what you like. I used to go thru all the pedals and straight into amp, not using the loop, but find looping the timed effects suits my taste.
