Thanks guys for your helpful advise yesterday in my bugera wtf thread series. I will now get the 6505 plus head with a foot switch. However I need help one one more time. What cab should I get with it? Under about 400-500 $ and again (if you haven't seen by my amp choice) play metal. THANKS UG'ERS!

Love mine too - if you want a 2x12, definitely shoot for Mesa or Orange.

Mesa oversized...you can get them used in that price range. I picked mine up for $400

This, if you can find one. Otherwise, shoot for Avatar or Vader. I know BobDetroit loves his Redstar cab, but I've never tried one. I heard they're heavy as hell though.

Depends on the amp, but with a 6505 you should be more than fine with a 212. In terms of bass, a 412 will obviously be better, but 212's are lighter and cheaper and easier to construct, so it's a tradeoff.

I have an Avatar 212 and it kicks major ass. $400 new and you pick the tolex and speakers. Call Dave at Avatar if you are interested. Very well constructed and a good deal if you want a new cab. Splawn cabs rock too.

For gigging, you might want to set it up on top of something.

What is the outlook of 2x12 cabs in a live setting?

2x12's are fine, in some cases they sound more bassier and tighter than 4's, hense the reason i like them so much.
