Has anyone played the Oni guitars? Are they good? Are they very expensive?

and then there's free jazz, which isn't even for musicians.

As my old guitar teacher once said: Metal really comes from classical music. The only difference is pinch harmonics, double bass, and lyrics about killing goats.

Wow, thank you so much...
There is a reason why I am asking if anyone has tried it here, this is one of the largest guitar forum in the world.

Everything i have seen, heard about Oni has been nothing short of incredible. He does specialise in extended range instruments and regulary posts over on sevenstring.org, under the username dpm.

Great choice of luthier, his wood choice and open mindedness spec wise are just fantastic. Prices are based on what you want really, but it's never good practise to discuss that sort of thing outside of one-to-one discussions with the luthier.

Yeah, I did get an account at SevenString.org and I got some great responses about this too. I sent the guy a e-mail and well a PM too so, if my e-mail didn't get to him and I told him in that what I was thinking about and now I am just waiting for him to reply, then I'll have some answers.

Will do. From what I've seen in my research of this today his guitars look really good and the people who got a Oni guitar are really happy with it.

The pic on his site looks an awful lot like Perry Ormsby's Multiscale guitars.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
