hi, i was wondering, i found a deal for an ampeg j-12 for under 300 dollars, and i was wondering if its the same thing as an ampeg jet j-20?

similar. fewer tubes, slightly less output, cooler because most of the time they're vintage. soundwise, probably similar (I've never played a j20)... very very very very clean. I didn't try to overdrive it, because I didnt even want to. the clean was that awesome. I've seen j12s on sale for like $600 so thats a good deal... jump on it.

it gets loud enough. not loads of headroom, but enough for a medium sized gig.
