It isn't going to give a 6505 a run for its money, but it does produce a lot more gain than a traditional Hiwatt Custom 50. More like a classic Marshall MV. Hiwatts were always known for being clean unless you cranked them to the gills. The High Gain models were made to give you the option of more crunch.
