I'm back until the end of December and since coming back for the Christmas holidays, I'm actually quite disappointed that no one has made any threads for the previous tournaments that have happened - I mean, come on - the World Champions and no one made a mention of it?!
Anyway, I'm starting this years thread for the UK Championship. Those who are not up to speed will be shocked to find out Maplin has pulled out of sponsoring and for the past half year, World Snooker has been struggling to find a suitable replacement. Now, here's the shock - Pukka Pies. Yeah, you get me? New sponsor but I guess it's no time for complaining, a sponsor is a sponsor and I suppose we're lucky to have any at all.

For those of you who remembered, Marco Fu and Shaun Murphy reached last years final where this happened. Upsetting to see and I'm not quite so sure Marco deserved that bad a luck. Marco will be back but you all know the score - whoever gets to the final of a tournament won't make it past the second round the following year (the Snooker Tournament "Curse" as it's known).

He's on fire... It's Stephen Maguire!

That's who my money is on; but I couldn't tell you why... Just one of those gut feelings. lol.

I'm glad Selby's through, but Jamie Cope looks like he's come a long way... His safety play impressed me in the bits that I saw of the match.

lol. Stevens is teaching O'Sullivan a Snooker lesson. He leads 2-0. I'm thinking a 9-4 win for Stevens.

As a Welshman it would be nice to see Mark Williams start winning again for a change.
