lyrics.

epitomized this evening with peninsular love
when your eyes were breathing thunder and the waves were swelling up
hieroglyphic body language said it all
couldn't grasp the meaning of the writing on the wall
i kissed your neck
before i ran inland and prehistory ate you up
the textbooks already published
the prophesies and the drunkards
at an empty pub and so now you know
love and civilizations
come and then go

danced upon the dead minds in El Mirador
and harmonized their weird screams til i could hear no more
pleading one more chance to seize some fleeting night
when the sea and gods and cowards promised morning light
those planets heard
Earth had grown absurd for letting perfect things miss
our hearts already in ruins
the crosseyed, silent and stupid
are all sure of this and now i know
love and civilizations
come and then go

and maybe there is something they all got wrong
deep in the heart of Mexico
like deep deep deep down in my soul, you can bet
the Mayan sun will never set.

I just love your writing.

You remind me of traveling to exotic locations and discovering something new that's exciting.

This was no exception.

The entire piece was great. I wish I could point out something negative, but instead I'll point out the best part of the piece in my eyes:

"hieroglyphic body language said it all
couldn't grasp the meaning of the writing on the wall"

Your writing never ceases to amaze me, just thought I'd let you know.

If you have time then I'd appreciate a crit but since I didn't exactly crit yours don't feel obligated haha:

a little bit too sesquipeladian but if the singing manages to pull it off it would surely be pretty good

thanks everyone. i'll return the favor to you all. and i know there are a lot of big words but i do feel like the singing and vocal melody pulls it off.
