In the song Orion by Metallica, the last guitar solo, after the bass solo, there is a tricky lick for me

--------------------------------------------------
------7-10p7-10b12-10-10p7------7-10p7-10b12-10-7-
-9b11---------------------- 9b11-------------------
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

the tricky part is the 10th fret bend after doing the bend on the 9th fret on the G string. I go strict by the one-finger-per-fret thing, so I got my pinky on the 10th fret. But I can't bend that fast with my pinky after the 9th bend, so is it a matter of practice with my pinky or should I do the bend with my ring finger?

Fix the tab dude.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.

Put it in Courier New or in [c o d e] tags even if you've copied it

edit: And yeah, I'd use the ring finger.

tab here

I'd bend with my ring on the 9b11 and get all my fingers up there to help with the pinky bend on the 10b12.

yeah that's what I try to do, but to keep the original speed is kinda hard, is it a matter of practicing or just be smooth and do it with the ring?
