So guys, I've been religiously tracking this thing via Canada Post for a couple weeks, and what do I get when I get home from school today?

A large box with ESP written on it, already opened. I wonder what's in it?

It's an ESP LTD EC-1000 in Vintage black that I got for $900 on a sale.

It has EMG 81/60's, with all gold hardware including Tune-o-Matic bridge, Two volume and a tone knob, and a pickup toggle in the spot where Gibsons would have them.

Sperzel locking tuners

and 24 frets with abalone flag inlays, with "EC-1000" on the 12th.

Hope to have a couple demo vids up soon, because this guitar is ****ing tight!

Pat_s1EDIT: I'll also have you all know that, like most everything I own, this is 100% funded by myself. The only thing is though is that now I'm broke, and soon to be unemployed, so I think this is the last bit of gear I'm getting in a while.

and then there's free jazz, which isn't even for musicians.

As my old guitar teacher once said: Metal really comes from classical music. The only difference is pinch harmonics, double bass, and lyrics about killing goats.

I want the Amber Sunburst one with the seymour duncans. What is the neck like? I like thicker, wide, necks, sort of like on a PRS. What is it like on this guitar?

Funny I just saw a Toronto ad for the exact same guitar for $600. Grats though.

In my world, the color RED doesn't exist.

The system has encountered a fatal error [1809]: 'YourOpinion' var has no set value.

Canadian pricing, the market for guitars isn't as competitive here, therefore higher prices.

I've got this, but the seymour duncan version, isn't the neck just the best neck ever?

Oh you lucky cracker. I've always wanted the EC-1000 in that satin finish. Just can't justify spending 1k on another guitar when I rarely play though

Yup.

It freaking sucks.

I was so close to buying a goldtop EC-1000 with Duncans when I was in Korea, it was a phenomenal guitar. Can't argue with quality, really.
