Hi

So I'm looking at building a pedal, as I have an old AB Switch sitting around doing nothing, and I figured I would make use of the box and switch.
So I'm interested in building a Fuzz Pedal Similar to a Devi Ever Disaster Fuzz, preferably with the ability to self oscillate.

I was hoping for some help in finding any diagrams, and some advice on what sorts of reading I should do, and what sorts of components I would need.

Get to know about transistors, resistors, and capacitors. I built a FuzzFace Clone. I thought the soldering would be the hardest part, but placement of things in the box was far more challenging.

This is what I got.

Keep in mind that if you want a Germanium transistor version, it's very hard to find good parts. Because a fuzz face has very little components, a bad transistor can really mess up tone. In this case, a NTK275/AC128 is just not "another" NTK275/AC128.

Silicon ones are a little more consistent, but lots of people complain that it has too much gain.

Edit) Here you go:
IIRC it's an oscillating fuzz.

I had no problem finding Germanium Transistors, NTK275.

I think he said high quality germanium ones?

Thanks for the help guys.

I think I will go for a Fuzz Face for my first one, as apparently it's the simplest.
I'm not concerned about having a germanium resistor, and will most likely go with a silicon one.

One final question, would it be easy to modify a Fuzz Face in the future, if I so desired?
