If i was to put 10 string on a guitar with 9s would i have to make any other ajustments?
please don't make duplicate threads. on-topic, you shouldnt have to make any. i did the opposite due to to 9s being all i had around.
Fret the string at the 1st and 12th fret simultaneously (effectively using the string as a straightedge) and look at the clearance at the 5th fret. You should have a very slight gap (you might have to tap it with your thumb to tell). Now change the strings and tune it; the clearance should be the same. If there is a bigger gap then tighten up the truss rod, retune and try again.
I greatly doubt there will be any need to adjust it with such a small change in guage but thats the easiest way to test it.
