Thanks for your comments.

I never use a metronome and never have. I'm completely self taught and i think i def need to start using a metronome. A few ppl have commented on my timing being an issue. I have had some good feedback though about my guitar sounded good etc. So i've got a lot to work on and improve but it appears i have a good foundation to do so.

Cheers.

chords sounded awesome, but its hard to hear the vocals, which sucks cuz they sound prety good. also, the transition into the solo seemed a bit messy, but just for a second.

Nice storm sample! Your vox are definetly a little to soft but I think the EQ is the issue, try a little less reverb and more mids (sounds scooped). Your timing is definetly an issue but thats easily fixed by a metronome. The solo is one of the strongest parts of this; great tone but its a little too high in the mix. Very distinctive vocal style, just wish it was a bit louder

Here is a torrent that is full of text documents all about mixing: http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/110176505/Audio+Mixing+and+Mastering+Tutorials?tab=summary

Here's a video series showing recording and mixing (I think I can post this, it doesn't seem to be against any rules - if it is, please inform me):

I've Just ordered a Samson G Track, boom stand, shock mount and pop shield so hopefully my recordings will feature more predomient/clearer vocals and this will make it easier to mix

Glad you liked it Acousticfan always i coudn't really critique your track as i thought it sounded great and demo'ed great playin ability
