whoever has this amp, talk to me...
i play metal/thrash, i use emgs, and some pedals
willing to spend up to 700 US
i want something for home use but can also to a jam
is this fit? if not any other suggestions?

This amp suits older thrash metal fairly well. Such as slayer and metallica. If you want something more high gain or for newer sounds then this isn't the amp for you.

If you have pedals to get you into metal ranges go for the egnater rebel 20.

The HT-5 is an awful amp. People just suggest it because everybody owns one and everybody only owns one because they're all under a spell that makes them think that the HT-5 sounds good when it reality it sounds bad!

Anyways, yeah the HT-5 sounds like it should work for you. As always though, try before you buy.
