I've been watching the new HD remaster and recut of DBZ, Dragon Ball Kai. It's not out outside of Japan yet, unless you watch fansubs like me. I like it. They cut out all the unnecessary stud and made it more like the manga. Plus, there's usually at least a little bit of brand-new animation. The new episode aired today, so the subs should be out soon. They're in the middle of the Goku/Captain Ginyu fight right now, even though it's only on episode 34, I think.

It's worth checking out if you've seen the original.

animefreak.tv is a lot better than watch-dragonball. They only are missing like two episodes. I'm where Goku just arrived on Namek.

Nope, One Manga has Dragon Ball, but they're nowhere near volume 15, which I'm pretty sure is the point where Dragon Ball Z starts. Check Manga Fox.

EDIT: No, it's volume 17. Anyway, keep looking, and if you can't find it, it'll most likely be at Borders or Barnes and Noble or Books-a-Million or wherever. Except they marketed it as two series, like the anime, in the US, so it'll be Dragon Ball Z volume 1.

This. Start at the beginning of Dragonball and watch them all through the end of GT.
It took me like 2 years to do :\

So are the new season box sets of DBZ worth forking the coin over if I already own the all the episodes/sagas (on VHS)?
