so i've have been playing for over 8 years, and all of a sudden I start having this weird problem. Both my amp and guitar seem to be fine, but for some reason I get this really high really loud feed back. And i have absolutely no idea where it is coming from. If I pluck or strum any of the strings it goes away then instantly starts again as soon as the vibration is taken away. :S anyone have an ideas of what could be causing this?

what kind of pickups does the guitar have? if they are really hot like EMG's you tend to get a lot of feedback from being to close to the amp, and a simple noisegate will fix the problem. the noise gate will also work for whatever guitar you have

If this is a recent problem after 8 years I would recommend a tube change in your amplifier. Chances are one of your tubes went microphonic.
