Whenever I pick alot or quickly my right bicep gets sore and tired really quickly. For example, if i continuously downpick the 6th string at about 150 bpm it gets sore around 2 minutes...wondering if im putting too much stress on it or doing something simple wrong... any suggestions?

Sure that the movement comes from the wrist and not the arm?

I think you dont masturbate enough...

I generaly get it in the tricep rather than the bicep. Keep goin, toughens up the muscle, wont hurt as much after you been doin it for a while.

Uh, no? He needs (and I presume you need) to loosen up, otherwise it's going to be a massive barrier in terms of endurance and building speed, which I'm trying very hard to overcome at the moment.

Smear honey into your arms prior to playing. That should solve all your problems.

Maybe you have your guitar too low and are having to stretch to pick which is causing the soreness...?

Or too high and he's contracting the muscle.

Lose the tension in your arm, you don't need to be stiff and mechanical

find a comfortable position. also start lifting weights. When I started lifting and stretching regularly I could play fast without cramping up

You are obviously strumming with your entire arm instead of the wrist. You are flexing to stop the stum at the top and start back down causing resistance similar to doing curls.

Use the wrist only to pick.
Have the guitar at a reasonable height.
Do some stretches before and after playing.

First of all you need to try out all the available guitar shapes
and see if what you already have is most comfortable for you!!

You may prefer a 24.75" scale over a 25.5" scale!!

the idea is to get a guitar that you can play while keeping
the wrist pretty straight in both hands.

I found that putting your picking hand facing downward
to palm mute then simply lightly place the forearm on the
guitar body.

Also make sure you like your pick.
The only pick I can play are Clayton Acetal triangles
Ibanez AEL10E BLK- W/ Graph Tech Nut, Saddle and Pins
Duncan Woody XL Pickup w/ stock fishman EQ

Schecter C1+ Darksunburst w/ SH-4 (N) & SH-6 (B) 24.75"
