I used to read Metal Hammer and Kerrang! on a regular basis, i don't know whether i've been left behind or todays more mainstream metal/rock just isn't for me anymore but i struggle to find myself intrested in any of the bands featured now.
I tend to stick to movie and guitar mags now of which i just pick up the one with the content most relevant to my intrests that month.

Sadly, I read everything I need on the Internet now.

I used to buy magazines on video games (Consoles + and Joypad), business and economy (Capital) and on the Magic card game a while back (Lotus Noir) - they're all French magazines by the way. But now, when I need information on anything, I just browse the intarwebz.

I read Guitar World, Game Informer, and Nintendo Power, although I might cancel my NP subscription because it's just getting old...

I am probably right in assuming that the magazine, your choice of username and opinion on Kerrang! are all linked.

Anyways, I generally just get Bass Player Magazine and Bass Guitarist Magazine. Both are good for different reasons- one focusses more on gear, the other more on playing, and both cover a wide variety of news. Neither are gimmicky like a lot of the guitar based magazines seem to be.

Why would you even post that? It doesn't add to the thread, all it does is make you look
like an arrogant bastard.

As far as magazines go, I pretty much only read Power Unlimited nowadays (it's a gaming magazine here in the Netherlands), and I used to read the White Dwarf (A Warhammer magazine).

I sometimes pick up White Dwarf. Although I don't play or collect anymore, I still love the mythos.

Uncut is a great music mag. It's available internationally but is UK-based, you might have to search a little in North America.

National Geographic is on a tier all its own.

Adbusters is alright.

Aye, the stories were a big part of my interest for the hobby. Still, good game, awesome models (especially the newer ones), and painting was quite therapeutic..

HEY

Has anyone else noticed an increase in ads in National Geographic since around the summer? It seems like the whole first half is dedicated to advertisement (except stuff like Big Idea/Your Shot/etc. of course).

I remember in the spring and even last winter there were only like two of those "PRICELESS GOLD NUGGETS" ads per issue. Now NG is full of them.

I like Total Guitar the best. I also like Guitar Techniques and Guitarist. Sometimes I pick up some of the American ones but usually I stick to the UK.
