Hi

I'm looking into a new amp, primarily for clean tones.

I have a Fender Stratocaster, and I want sweet, Fender-like tones. I need atleast 15 Watts. Preferably a 12" speaker.

What should I look into? What else is there apart from the Fender Blues Junior that would be good?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Peavey Classic series
Crate V-series/Palomino
VOX AC15/NightTrain/used AC30
used Roland JC120
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (meh...)
Egnater Rebel (a cab might put you over budget)

EDIT:
Bugera V22/V55

Laney VC15/30 not exactly fendery but a good solid warm clean tone.

Excellent little amp, although perhaps a little on the quiet side compared to other 15-watters. The 30W VC will do you nicely, but it's definitely a different sound (I much prefer Vox voicing over Fender for cleans, but it's a totally personal preference!).

I'd go with the Blues Junior personally - don't bother with the Hot Rod Deluxe though, it's not great. You might even be able to pick up a used Bassman clone if you've got a bit of patience and find a killer deal.

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.

Sums up whisky perfectly

Bugera V22, amazing thing, really. Has headphone input for not blowing out your windows too.
