Has anyone ever done my Strap lock mod?

I have noticed that the Dunlop Strap Lock system seems
to rattle with guitars filled with sustain. So what I did
was since I already have 2 sets of strap locks
I was able to utilize 4 washers instead of just 2.
I found this solved the problem putting washer before
and after

just curious in a random thread

Sounds like a good fix. I've got a Dimarzio Cliplock strap so I've never had the problem.

have to say it works rather well Also noticed you have to oil your locks
occasionally to stop them from squeaking when you pivot them

I just drill a whole into two 2 millimeter picks, take off the strap button, slip the pick onto the button along with strap, screw the strap button back on. You got yourself a straplock. But you won't be able to take the strap off w/o having to take off the whole button again.
