I am looking forward to upgrade my acoustic guitar and i wanted some opinions.
So my budget goes from 900€ to 1300€(1400-2000 $).
Any thoughts?

Thank you

do you have any preferences? guitar size, nut width, woods, etc?

personally in that price range i'd either go to wla guitar center and try to talk them into selling me the taylor gc8 they've had there for a little less than the tag. if they said no, i might go for a blueridge br-371, but chances are you're not looking for a parlor. i'd also check out one of these http://www.elderly.com/new_instruments/items/OMC16REP.htm and a taylor 414.

mmh what about gibson j-45?
It's quite the masterpiece and sounds like anything else.
Also the Martin hd28 is really good, but the j-45 has a warmer tone..
What do you guys think?

i'm a HUGE fan of the j-45. my husband has an older one that plays and sounds like a dream, and there's a new j-45 standard at a local gc they put martin silk and steel string on that makes me wish i could play it all the time. i almost bought it, had actually talked to my favorite sales guy about it, but i hurt my shoulder and can no longer play dreads. i also like the rosewood version.

you may have to bargain a bit to get one at your price, but it's worth a bit of bargaining. if you can play it before you get it, you'll find that they don't all sound exactly the same - wood being organic, that makes sense. but i've never played a j-45 i didn't like

that's the j-45 standard, and it runs $2399 pretty much everywhere i know of:

here's a $1999 version called the historic - not sure if i've played one, although chances are good since i played every j-45 in 6 guitar centers, 2 sam ash stores and a number of independent stores.

checked my pm box - it's empty

let us know how that goes - hopefully you'll love it. the standard is an awesome guitar and i definitely recommend trying silk and steels on it if you get it. i couldn't believe the difference they made to an already great sound.
