I am building a neck through telecaster. I based the design on the new stephen carpenter model. I honestly had no idea what it was when i saw it i just thought it was beautiful.

I am doing a maple laminate neck, ebony fretboard. Not sure about body woods yet. Any suggestions? as well headstock shape is undetermined

I'm not a fan of tele heads. There is potential for a much less awkward design

^ this if you're more set on being stephen carpenter-like, but if you're more concerned as far as versatility then do normal placement. plus the PG will be easier to find w/ standard placement.
