So I picked me some sweet stuff up the other day

My Duncan Convertible was sounding rather low volume, so I decided it was time to get some new tubes for it... So I got me some new t00bs for super cheap!

I actually bought 8... but I already put those in the amp and it's not at my to take pictures The tubes all came out of two brand new Bogner Exctasys.

I got all 8 for $40, HIGH FIVE!

They sound freakin sweet... and the best part is... my amp is actually able to be heard over a drummer again! Woo!

Ok... ok... fine...

A few days later I got this in the mail too:

I must say... I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid... but this thing sounds ****ing devastating

It has a pretty scooped sound to it, but it actually cuts very well, which is cool I guess haha. I've only tried it through the loop, so I'd imagine it'd sound even more awesome through a nice power amp.

Oh and what's the price I paid you ask? Well... I got it for $40 shipped, new in the box

I kinda want to start a little rack again, but I'd probably get a solid state power amp to keep the weight down cause tube power amps are crazy heavy, add in the case and it's like wtf.

LOL

Well it can run 6CA7s/EL-34s/KT-77s/6550s, it did have huge ass 6CA7s in it before. Tube rectifier. It's 100w with a built in attenuator/variable wattage knob.

Mine has some problems that need to be fixed on it, but I only paid $100 for the amp, so I'm kinda hesitant to probably spend more money than it cost me

It has a bunch of modules in the preamp section which are basically tube "modeling." I have the cleans setup similar to something like an AC30. The distortion channel has some ridiculous squeal on it, which is one of the things that needs to be checked out, might just be microphonic preamps, but I'd rather just wait till I see some of those pop up really cheap then buy new ones from a dealer It should be setup for a very Marshall-meets-modern type thing, high gain channel. Like an 800 with more lowend and less chainsaw grind to it, more rounded out I guess.

The clean channel on it is ridiculous though, one of my favorite ever. I have an EVM-12L in it right now so even though it's about the size of my old Vox AD30VT... it weighs more than my 4x12 Mesa cab, the transformers in that thing are HUGE

Theres a shop near(ish) me that has 2 preamp modules for a Convertible. I dont really know anything about it, they're called Low-Cut Classic and Low-Cut Normal.

Haha, it's a cool amp. The other guitarist in my band was using it cause he doesn't have an amp loud enough. But we kicked him out cause we're tired of his crap LOL.
