Hi there,

I have been singing for a couple of months (i'm 16), and I have a singing audition in january!

This song, 'feel' (by robbie williams) is quite a catchy tune in my opinion... and i have been singing it for about two days.

If you look on my profile, you can hear me singing it... i only recorded it in one take (as i won't have a second chance if i audition), so this is an honest recording.

I know there are a few odd notes here and there - i learnt the tune about a week ago.
But please give some constructive, honest criticism that I can built upon for january.

Basically, how can i improve?

You have a lot of potential.

I think the first thing you need to do, though, is to spend more than a couple of days or so with the song before you record it and ask for criticism. Get it as close to as good as you can make it, and THEN ask for a critique.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?

I know it sounds crazy, but try to learn to inhale your voice. www.thebelcantotechnique.com

Chris is the king of relating music things to other objects in real life.
I would consider familiarizing myself with the song more.
Chris is right though.
You do, indeed, have potential. You have to be willing to work to bring it out.
Thanks for the comments, do you think this is a good audition piece?
I am auditioning for a talent show, and any style is welcome.
