Well, right now I have a plain white bass and I want to paint a sort of red Argyle (I think that's what it's called) pattern onto it, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it

How do you paint the areas under the strings? Do you have to remove them or can you just put some kind of wrapping around it, paint it, then take the wrap off?

What kind of paint would work? Would normal spray paint work?

What parts of the bass could be damaged by spray paint? How should I paint it so I don't damage these parts?

Thanks! Not too sure if this is the right section

If you want to paint it the right way you're going to basically have to gut it and remove the neck if it's a bolt-on.

Your going to have to completely disassemble the bass to paint it.
Check out the painting thread for more information.
