hi. i currently have a brand new ltd alexi-200, now its currently set up for standard(not very well i might add), in order for me to put to drop b, will i only need to adjust the springs?
or will i need to also do the truss rod and intonation aswell.

I think you'll have to get it adjusted and whatnot for heavier strings if you want to play in drop b.

First of all, you will need to change your gauge of strings

Second, the truss rod is used to adjust the ankle of the neck itself

Third, you may have to add another spring or change the angles of
the three stock springs.

12-62 guage is a happy medium from A Standard to E standard

No matter what you adjust, Intonation should be done last

take it to a shop and have them set it up for you. Pick out thicker strings, they might have to adjust the action, they might fix the intonation but it needs to be balanced to accommodate new string gauges

You can do it yourself just as well, its not that hard dude

The key is keeping the bridge level
