Second, this parasite only attack a certain type of fish.

Finally, its not a dangerous parasite. because it replace the fish's tongue so the fish can survive.

If you look at the same wikipedia page, it said that another kind of tongue-eating isopod was found in 2009..which is the one that the OP is talking about
