Vox Valvetronix 50VT.. got this amp for over an year now.. currently play it once a week at band practise.. hv some gigs coming over & dead worried about reliability.. bloody amp suddenly goes dead after one hour of playing.. turns ok after i switch the power off-on, but then repeats the dead thingy now & then..

got it checked by local dealers.. bloody people can't find the fault..
maybe ur power points are dodge?

Maybe it's time to replace the valve?

Maybe the power cord is shot?

Maybe somehting needs resoldering after the year of vibrations

Or maybe it's just very bad luck?

Replace the tube.

I'm 90% sure that's the problem. I've replaced mine twice.
mine had a bad power switch connection. if it movEd the slightest bit it would turn off then back on
