Okay, so I've been listening to some old school Metallica, Cliff Burton ftw anyways...I was wondering...what pedals would I have to use to achieve this sound with my bass:

And umm...it would have to be guitar pedals too right?

he used a crybaby guitar wah for quite a bit of stuff. I never saw him use a Morley, but everyone seems to think he used one

Okay guys, I have a confession to make. Not really a confession since it's something that's been bugging me for awhile but I've always been in denial about it.

**** you gilly, it's not what you think

but with anaesthesia amounts of fuzz, that is almost negligable

Yeah, I just meant his tone in general, having anaesthasia in mind, but it was the only video I could find. I mean, if I could achieve the tone in Anastheasia I could probably make the same for For Whom the Bell Tolls, or at least give it personality haha.

I'll try and wait till a couple more responses before going out and trying some, though :P

Ahhhh, I didn't watch the video, just for me, Cliff Burton = Rick + Flats (apparently) + Big Muff + Fuzz Wah + Great Big Mesa.

yep pretty much same here but he changed to the Aria before the recording of puppets
