I just bought a guitar today, it's a Peavey Axcelerator, and I was wondering what this hole in the back of the neck does? There's an allen screw down there.

Further to what's already been said- it's probably the truss rod adjustment.

You plug in your cable there and it auto-adds 15 to your Rock stat.

Usually its gonna be to adjust the angle of the neck. It pushes against a metal plate in the heel.

Official term is a micro tilt mechanism or a micro tilt neck, its used to adjust the angle of the neck rather than remove the neck. Check the internet for further info, just google "micro tilt neck".
