Hey I've been looking into buying a new bass amp and I've looked at the Peavey Max 115. It seems pretty good and the reviews I've read on it seem to be pretty positive. So I was just wondering if any of you guys knew anything about these amps, or if there is a better amp for around the same price that I should consider.

Oh yeah, and sorry about posting yet another thread on amps but I just thought I'd ask.

check out an ampeg 1x15 combo amp

might be a little expensive but the xlr output is worth it for live shows, plus you won't really ever have a need to upgrade.

also, don't rely on online reviews, try it for yourself

+1 on the trying amps out yourself bit, not so much on the Ampeg. Low end Ampeg = overpriced, plus 100W just seems pointless, its right in between a practice amp and a practical gigging amp (unless your mic'd).

The Peavey Max series has been fantastic in my experience, although in February, those fantastic new TKO's come out for only like $70 more.
