I bought a neck for a flying v, but it doesn't have a nut. The guy I bought it from made the neck himself, and everyone I've talked to said I'll probably have to get a nut custom cut... How much is this going to cost, approximately?

Does it use a floyd rose/floyd rose copy? If so, you just install a locking nut.

Probably synthetic bone or plastic, but the slot seems kind of big, so it may be for a locking nut.

Might as well get a graphite nut, if you're not going locking.

Sampson Era Bad Cat Black Cat 30R
1993 Mesa Dual Rectifier
Gibson Les Paul Custom (ebony)
Gibson SG Faded (brown)
Rickenbacker 650D

Diamond Memory Lane 2
Keeley Compressor (2 knob)
Korg Pitchblack

I measured the slot for the nut, and it's about 42 x 16 mm. I think I'm looking at a locking nut.
