Well, I've been looking for a new guitar since about July. I looked around a lot and played quite a few, and I decided on one in November. Due to shipping problems and just having to deal with this local store in general, It's been delayed 3 weeks. It's here though, and it's awesome.

Edit: Didn't realize how big these pics actually were, so I took the IMG tags off. Just go to imageshack.

It plays so nicely too. I'm not sure how I feel about the painted neck, but maybe I'll adjust to it better after playing it a little longer. Going from a maple neck to this neck that doesn't have a heel is a huuge difference.

Branding!?!? THAT'S TOO PROGRESSIVE! I say bring back settlement payments in weights of lead and impalement upon wooden stakes!

So far I'm loving it. I'm just looking for an amp to go with the pickups.

I was looking at the Peavey 6505+ combo, what do you guys think of it?

I have one. Good guitar.
Mines gone up in price since buying it. It was a first run, no coil tap.
I think it could be collectable some day.

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"

The abalone on that thing is sexy.

I think the opposite, too much abalone is overkill and this guitar, like a lot of high-end Schecters and ESPs, is another example of it. Whatever though, I do like the way Schecters play so HNGD TS!

I see what you might be saying. the abalone might be a little much, but I don't think its bad. After messing around, the EMGs at full volume are slightly over the top, so I keep them at about half and mess with the tone a little bit and I'm getting what I want.

yeah, i figured it'd be that finish.

HNGD regardless though

What do you mean by this? The black I didn't think was even close to the quality of this one as far as looks. The white was meh, no quilted maple.

he's saying that the red quilted maple is really common compared to the other finishes.

EDIT: I'm actually waiting for next years Schecters to come out. They're going to run a Blue Quilted Maple Hellraiser, which I think will look pretty sick. it'll be an LTD MH-1000, but as a Schecter, with no neck binding, and a different neck and different inlays. lol

I usually dislike abalone but I think it works really well with the red quilted maple. I love blue guitars, but the IMO the new blue hellraiser doesn't have that evil theme that the red one does....if thats what you metalheads are going for

Heres a pic of the blue one

I recently bought a c-1 classic and I had the same problem with the neck finish. I started using baby powder and it's great. A bit on the palm, rub a bit on the neck, maybe a bit on the finger tips, and its easy playing.

I feel I've been lied too. I mean if it's Possible Schecter content And I come and it's actually a schecter. Is it possible that I thought it might be something else..

I kid.

Beautiful Guit you got. HNGD.
If you start a reply with: I have never played one but I have heard good things about it! Your opinion is invalid.

that would be a great idea. but when you put it on your fingertips, do you have a problem with it getting on/into your fretboard?

btw that blue hellraiser is GORGEOUS but im looking hard for a blue c-1 classic myself. gorgeous guitars. any of those finishes would be stellar but i decided to hold out for a blue one.

Haven't had a problem. Baby powder isn't something that would do any damage either. Its actually a very common solution among guitarists, which I only found out recently. Many prefer it over things like fastfret etc.

Yea, I really like the look of the c-1 classics, especially the inlays. And I checked out that blue hellraiser, and it just doesn't give the same feeling for me haha.

And I've gotten pretty used to the neck, I actually am starting to like it quite a bit. Still experimenting with tone quite a bit.
