Hey All,
Not sure if this is the right forum -- so please feel free to move, if not. I've been tinkering with the idea of selling skull rings. However, I'm unsure of the actual market interest, so I'm making this post here to gather opinions. (Please note I don't actually have any of these products to sell.)

I've spoken with a number of manufacturers and narrowed down the designs to the following 12. I would like to get your opinions on the following --

1) Would you buy a skull ring? Please explain.
2) Which design(s) do you like from the pictures below?
3) How much would you pay for a skull ring?

LINKS TO IMAGES (I couldn't embed them--errored out saying I had too images, so linking instead)

To be honest I wouldn't buy one if you payed me.
Thats just my opinion though.

I'm sure your target demographic will love them.

Just so I can help though, what are they made from and how much do they cost per unit for you? I still might be able to help you put a price on them.

If I was younger and still into metal I might. You'll definitely want to market it towards the younger crowd. But they never have any money...
#5
i personally wouldn't buy or wear one if you payed me to do it.

It simply does not match who i am in any way. I wear turtle necks, waffle shirts and pea coats... skull rings don't exactly match my style.

Haha, no. There might be a market for tuff guy trinkets like this at those vendor booths you set up at the malls (i.e. where one goes to procure gold pot leaf necklaces studded with faux diamonds) though.

Btw, if you decide to market these under the brand name Tuff Guy Trinkets--and you should--I demand a cut of the royalties.

I would, but only if I didn't care about how I looked and I couldn't find my brass knuckles.

I don't really wear rings but a couple of those looked ok,most looked abit corny though compared to one a friend has.

The dragon one was alright. And the fist one. The diamonds in the rings are retarded though. They would do well at like Fairgrounds and stuff I imagine.

not my kind of thing, but I don't wear jewellery (not even a watch) so you're probably asking the wrong guy.
You're using UG classic, congratulations.
You should be using UG classic.

Skulls are way overdone, that said I'd wear the dragon one, D. Wouldn't pay much though.

The only ring that's not gold/diamond that I would consider wearing is this:

But I have a bottle opener in my keychain, so it's very unlikely that I would wear the bottle-opener ring either.

This, more or less.

I hate jewelry in general, but rings like this just scream douchebag to me.

I think most of us can agree that nobody would buy these rings. I guess it's a good thing that you came to us first before investing heavily in them.

Sell crack.

God no. Not only do I not wear jewellery, skulls are the most unoriginal thing in the world and those skull rings all make you look like an absolute knob.

I like the alien one a lot, though I'm not a fan of the jewels in it. The second dragon one isn't bad either. I'd probably pay $20-25 at the absolute most for them, if they're decent quality.

I'd wear any of em, not excessively, but one would be nice I'm in my mid teens so I'm probably more the crowd you're aiming at... Oh and I play pop punk, not metal; so there's still hope

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback! Tho I would've hoped for more glowing remarks, lol, I'm really glad I got these opinions early before any investments were made.

So now I know.. either the product just sucks or I need to find a the right niche market.

Thanks again.

I'm far too old to wear anything with skulls on it.
