what are some good songs that use instruments not common in rock. for example, the bagpipes in AC/DC's "it's a long way if you wanna rock n roll". i'm not an AC/DC fan, butthose bagpipes sound awesome.

How exactly is "Losing My Religion" not rock? It's acoustic rock, but it's still rock.

I was going to mention Apocalyptica; I think it's a cool idea.

Also, someone told me there's Sitar in Enter Sandman, I don' t know if it's true.

I don't think that's true. There is, however, electric sitar on Wherever I May Roam.

Look at a lot of Placebo's songs; they use a lot of synth, and there's a few with cello.

Violin in Blue October songs
Bagpipes in Korn songs

I'm going to be shot for using those examples, but a lot were already posted and I do like those bands. *flamesheild*

Tom Morello's guitar effects >_>

<_<

I'll accept this.

I mean, he introduced the gangsta rap siren into the formula, scratching, etc.

The guitar wasn't really a guitar anymore. It was a magical music thing.
