Hey, any opinions about Marshall MC 212? I'm buying a Bugera 6262 head and need some kinda 212 cab to it.

Will the MC be enough "metally"?

Thanks

MC is the same thing as the MGs, right?

I'd steer clear. "Custom voiced Celestion speakers" are almost never a good thing.

Yeah I thought so too.

But there are MG cabs?

I think Marshall released the MCs when they blew out the rest of their DSL line with the modified cosmetics. The MCs have the same speakers as the MGs and the same construction, they are just slightly bigger to accommodate the size of the DSL heads.

The MC cabs are an updated MG cabinet...with stereo wiring I believe, and I think they're a bit bigger...maybe built in England as well?? Not sure...

The construction isn't terrible for a budget, compact cab... but the speakers are terrible. To even be called Celestions is a disgrace...they are a mystery meat speaker that Marshall makes and puts a tiny Celestion logo on them. I'd look elsewhere

Like what?

It has to be a 212 and around 300

I'm not sure what the used market is like up in Finland, but I'd be looking for something like a used Marshall 1922 2x12. I think that would pair well with the Bugera.

yeah the speakers they put in the MC cabs are "slight" upgrade then the ones in the MG cabs but they still sound sterile. the use Celestion G1230 30watt speakers in them(not to be confused with the G12h30 speakers, which are great in cabs)

Bugera makes a 2x12 cab now that sells for about $199 US(not sure what that is in Finnland)

also as stated the Harley benton 212 cab(loaded with Celestion V30s) is cheap.and good if you live over seas in europe and all

Are those V30s "real"?

And not like the MGs "customized"?

I'm really tempted to buy one of the Harley Bentons!

Now, which one should I buy? The regular or the vintage?

theres also this one on there too. has V30s in it too

http://www.thomann.de/gb/framus_fr212_cb.htm

i also found a Laney 2x12 on there to, but has Celestion Seventy 80s in it, good speakers buuuttttt. not as good as the V30s

But the Harley cab would be the best bang for the buck price wise

Yeah, one of my mates played with the Framus. But he plays with a Marshall 1936 now.

I think it will be the Framus! Is it enough metal?

It's just my opinion, but I personally think the MC cabinets suck (as do the MG cabinets).

Buy cabs used.

Oh yeah man. the V30s have that nice lowend tone great for metal.and framus makes some good stuff. either the Harley or the framus and you will be happy. good solid construction and great speakers. i think the framus is a 100w cab the way its wired and the Harley Benton is a 120watt cab
