Simple Plan: pretty much in my top 10 of all time.
I have others, maybe the libertines or something.
ever try to have sex to that? my friend put in my play list and one of their songs DESTROYED the mood, we did start laughing though.

PS: I notice we're doing albums, but meh
I don't learn much about hte bands I dun like.
On playing the Paul Gilbert signature at the guitar store extensively, my missus sighed:
"Put it down now, It's like you love that guitar more than me!"
In Which I replied.
"Well it has got two F-Holes!"

The Resistance - Muse

this it isnt in the same ballpark as Absolution or Origins of Symmetry and it was just too electronic for my tastes i like my muse a bit more organic

Because at the end of the year is a much better time to have a thread about albums released that year than, say, January.

The Resistance - Muse

bad =/= not as good as previous records/overstated

I agree, Muse has had better albums, but to say it's the worst of 2009? In the same year Chris Cornell made his album? In the same year Lady Gaga made an album? In the same year Tokio Hotel brought out another of their crap discs? No way man, no way...

Yeah, my vote goes to Chris Cornell, Lady Gaga, or any other hypercommercialised singer/band who is only popular because of the marketing and prefabricated tunes...

Black eyed peas ya. Their song is overplayed on my work radio.
I don't know this Chris Cornell, but I'm sure he takes it up the arse.

+1 on origins of symetry, I work in amazon and I see more copies of those pass through than The resistance.

Oh ya and lady gaga argh.
there's so much noob out there.

Cause it would be stupid in January to say what will be the worst albums of the year to come?

The Resistance wasn't electronic at all. I wasn't a fan of it, though, I think I've listened to it once all the way through, and then a few of the songs on shuffle.

This on so many levels, I hate any thread that brings out the 'my musical opinions are facts' crowd and you've got to wonder how these people get employment as article writers.

I must agree.

though from what I've heard from the new Creed and 3 Day's Grace... ugh. I like their older stuff, even if it isn't that creative but oh dear.

The Resistance was great. Unnatural Selection is the most awesome Muse song ever.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

I can't say what i think is the worst album of 2009, but i can say what disappointed me most.

I love the SHIT out of john mayer, he's one of my favorite singers/songwriters/guitarists in the world, and so i was psyched as hell when i heard Battle Studies was coming out, and it was a huge disappointment. Almost all the songs are boring, there are VERY few guitar solos, and he sings about faking love and not caring and basically being a douche. Room For Squares and Heavier Things and Continuum were so genuine and they were about things in the world and not JUST him. I wouldn't have a problem with songs about just him, if they weren't egocentric and filled with douchery. Better luck next time John Mayer.

i respectfully disagree.

although lady gaga is fantastic!

worst:
You're 12. and what is this.

and even though it's not out yet, Key$ha or whoever sings that tick tock song is gonna be a top contender.
if you can't even carry a melody with the help of autotune, you should just give up.

Pixie Lott shouldn't be on that list IMO, she's got a decent voice and some catchy songs. I'm sure theres worse. Brokencyde however.. I don't even know what the fuck they are supposed to be...
The plan was to drink until the pain over.
But what's worse, the pain or the hangover?
Who am I? I'm a titan so be expectin' a clash.

I love Simple Plan, but it is safe to say that they didn't release an album in 2009...

Also, can't believe the one I was going to say was in the first post lol. Chris Cornell - Scream... still disappointed with that one.
This will start a RIOT! in me

So I was sitting in class today today, and I realized, ever since Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, every single album released has been worse than the one before it. So that means that every single album released, that's the worst album ever made.
