Hey,

Would a Mesa Boogie Mark IV be any good for thrash metal?
I've looked on Youtube and can't find any decent videos, so I thought i'd ask everyone here.

Would it be as good as, better, or worse at it than my 6505?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick and straight forward reply.

Would you say early/late Metallica thrash? or heavier than that?

A Mark III would be better and cheaper in my opinion. I have a man crush on the entire Mark series though hahah

Metallica used a Mark III for a while; a Mark IV is probably equal heaviness it just has separate EQ for all the channels and is thus more versatile and expensive.

yeah they're very sensitive, picky amps but once you get them dialed in are killer. Metallica, Lamb of God, John Petrucci are just some examples of players that use or have used them in the past if that's any indication

Thats great then should have much better cleans and leads than my 6505, I just hope it can hold up to my 6505s tone.
