Hi Everybody,

I'm thinking about getting some new Elixir strings for my Guitar. What is the real difference between the polyweb and nanoweb strings. Which do you prefer and why?

Thanks

Ultra-thin NANOWEB® Coating...

Has the bright tone and punch of non-coated strings
Feels like traditional strings

Original POLYWEB® Coating...

Has a balanced tone and smooth response
Feels comfortably smooth and reduces finger squeak

right off the website dude

The polywebs have a thicker coating than the nanowebs. The nanowebs sound more like regular strings but they probaby wont last as long as the polywebs. The polywebs will last longer but most people (from my experience) think that the sound is inferior due to the thicker coating.

I'm part of the minority, I prefer the polywebs for both feel and sound.

Try both.

Well the polywebs are pure overpriced garbage and the nanowebs are high grade pure overpriced garbage. Sorry I hate Elixirs.
I do sure love me them Gibsons boy

Try both. Strings sound different on different guitars. You might also try D'Addario coated strings. I use them. I've never tried elixer though.

$15 at Guitar Center, while at other places, they're $30.

I like the polys, too.
