Hey, I was wondering if a Digitech Hardwire TL-2 Metal Distrotion pedal would work well through a Marshall Class 5 amp? because i have heard stories from people that certain amps and pedals dont work together?
thanks

Thats too nice of an amp to put some shitty digital pedal through. If you want to play metal, you bought the wrong amp. But pedals WILL sound great through it, you just need to buy the right ones.
Suhr Custom, Flaxwood Rautia or Grosh Tele thru
HBE Medicine Bawl Wah
Analogman BiComp
Texas Two Step OD
Fulltone Ultimate Octave/Fuzz
Boss CE-2
TC Nova Delay
SLO-100, 65 London or Bogner Shiva
Ask me about any of this stuff!

i usually agree that pedals with the word 'metal' in them usually have mediocre-at-best distortion sounds, but i heard the other day that the TL-2 was actually quite good, and i wouldn't be surprised either since the Hardwire pedals all seem to have a solid rep. only played a few of em so far, but i've liked everyone that i've played as well.

i wouldn't knock the pedal if you havent tried it yet.
