Well I know I might be better putting this in the guitar section, but I'm just used to the GG&A section. So I was selling my G-Major over the internet, and a guy offered me this for a trade:

So I ended up giving him the G-Major and some Rocktron Hush IICX for it.
What do you guys think?

What brand is it? Can't make it out properly.

I'd probably have only offered the G-major but hey, if your happy thats all that matters dude.

Looks nice enough though.

Based on the headstock logo, I'd assume its a Fender HM Strat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_HM_Strat

Fender made them as competition to superstrats.

Is that a Kahler tremolo I see?

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

It's a Fender Strat! Made in USA
Fender HM Stratocaster, built from 1988-1992

The Kahler trem was changed for a Licensed Schaller one, the Kahler was discontinued and parts are hard to find.

The metal switch is kind of like a "killswitch" to toggle the signal on/off

Oh hell yes. Fender HM; Fender's answer to Charvel and Kramer.

Awesome guitars, HNGD

Actually, that's a Japanese one, either '88 or '89 by the headstock logo. The switch SHOULD be a coil split, unless someone modded it. I had one for a while, very nice guitar. Congrats!

I used guitar dater project
The serial number starts with an E and Japanese made Fenders with E****** are dated from 1984-1987, years in which the HM wasn't being made, so it has to be USA
