my squier has a 40.9mm nut width. the new floyd rose i ordered has a 42mm nut width? can i split the difference and call it a day?

it says its a floyd rose special, but i do not see the floyd rose special on the floyd rose site. so im just wondering if the original floyd rose template will work??



Most licensed Floyds have the same basic footprint, so it would probably work. But I'd get the trem first or at least get the specs on it before I machined anything.

What do you mean by split the difference? Let it overhang on each side?
