Let's not joke...hundreds die every year.

Disturbing? Koudelka, no doubt. Priests burning prostitutes alive and anally molesting children with knives.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

All the shovelware that actually sells.

Now that's both scary and disturbing, especially when companies will sack 1500 genuine developers to invest in that kind of shit.

I've not played it myself, but I think it may be F.E.A.R. that I've heard is really disturbing.

I can tell you that I haven't been scared with any video game after I turned 13 (when just finished doom 3, man I stopped playing once in a while cuz i'm scared, no other game ever did that to me)
anyway,
F.E.A.R = not disturbing at all, not scary and 99% of the time you don't see the girl and its just your average shooter (but with slowmo yay )

dead space didn't scare me once because it got to repetitive, yeah I turn a corner a guy jumps up and I shoot his legs allrighty then

hl2... is not scary at all not even the ravenhold chapter, was laughing to much at using the gravity gun to decapitate zombies

the path may be disturbing to some, but I found it more annoying then disturbing cuz it had a lack of gameplay (except... run till you get raped)

man, I wish I was 12 again, then I could enjoy some of the games they release nowadays

Stop highlighting my signature!!

the dream sequences in Max Payne were pretty creepy.

I haven't played it for years, but on Max Payne 2 on one of the first levels I believe was like a circus thing which Max kept walking around inside very tight, small, but seemingly big and long at the same time creepy building. It was pitch black, where fake things kept jumping at you and stuff, or something like that, can't remember... but I remember that being pretty damn creepy... was that a dream sequence?

Also, I would say Condemned.

Other noteable ones - Resident Evil 2 (not as bad as it used to seem, but when Mr. X appears LOADS of times (especially when he climbs up to the top where you are inside the police station and he corners you... that was the worst). The music that goes with him also... damn.

The first 15 minutes of Resident Evil 4 were creepy the first time, but I got used to it. It's still one of my favourite RE games though .
This will start a RIOT! in me

Dead Space.

It wasn't so much scary as it was downright creepy... Insane people cuddling and caressing dead mutilated corpses.. a guy who's one forearm and one leg below the knee were nothing but bone repeatedly smashing his head against a metal wall until he cracked his skull open and dropped dead...

Apparently the art people looked at pictures of car crashes for inspiration on the gore.

That has got to be the only Wiki article I've ever seen that says "black people."

Rapelay.

RapeLay (レイプレイ, Reipurei?) is a 3D eroge video game made by Illusion, released on April 21, 2006 in Japan. Compared to Illusion's previous games, the main story is shorter, it features an improved 3D engine, and is mainly played through mouse control. The game centers on a male character who stalks and rapes a mother and her two daughters. Three years after its initial release, the game has garnered international attention and controversy for its content.

I don't know dude that ethnic cleansing game kinda is worse. Just cause someone actually believe that kinda stuff.

Of course, someone also had to think that raping people was fun enough to make a game....
